About Pop & Paint...

Pop & Paint is a local, woman (mom)-owned business that offers boutique social painting classes that "pop" up into local venues/locations around Portland Oregon providing fun-filled instructions on how to paint (on canvas). Hence the name, "Pop & Paint".

We originally started with In-Person “pop-up” painting classes where we provided all of the painting supplies needed for the class including step-by-step instructions from one of our local artists. This means that no artistic background or experience is needed to attend our classes and have fun doing so! Even though its not necessary, we usually love to partner our painting classes wtih snacks/beverages! (Let’s make it a Paint Party or a Paint & Sip Event!)

When the COVID-19 Pandmic hit, we were not able to host In-Person Painting Classes so we transitioned our offerings to include VIrtual Painting Classes! With this new format, we host our painting class live virtually and can ship our painting supplies to each participant’s doorstep via our Virtual Paitning Kits. Now, anyone can paint with us from anywhere in the world! (Yes! - we can ship internationally!)

We are now hosting both Virtual and In-Person (“pop-up”) painting classes! Feel free to reach out to us for a private event or look for a public class to join at one of our partering venues.

Pop & Paint is a fabulous way to relax in a stress-free environment all while sipping on your favorite beverage, munching on a delicious snacks, and socializing with friends old and new.

Here at Pop & Paint, ALL are welcome!

About the Owner & Founder, Angie...

Angie, with the encouragement and support of her loving husband, Erik, started Pop & Paint in 2013.  Since childhood, Angie has always enjoyed sketching and drawing as a hobby and creative outlet but has never thought of herself as a professional artist by any means.  It was not until much later in life that she discovered how much fun painting could be when sharing it with friends!  Her inspiration for Pop & Paint came from this realization.  Now, Angie's desire is to encourage others that painting is a fun, stress-free activity, especially when enjoyed in the company of loved ones, friends, and even coworkers.

Further inspired by the beauty and the entrepreneurial culture of the Pacific Northwest, Angie decided to start up a small business that combined both her love for being artistic and organizing/hosting fantastic events!  She visualized her Portland Oregon-based start-up as being a part of the community by giving local artists an additional source of income as well as helping local venues bring in additional patrons for these events on slow nights.

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, Angie and her team of Painting Instructors were not able to host In-Person Painting Classes. With this heartbreaking set-back, they brainstormed on how to keep this type of art alive! Through hard work and persistance, they were able to transition the business to include a new format of painting classes for this time of uncertainty - Virtual Painting Classes!

Angie wants to thank everyone who has helped her along the way of building her dream business, Pop & Paint.  Angie hopes to continue providing stress-free, creative activities to everyone (no matter their location).
